Weaving a Memory, Sharing our Story 10/10 – 10/24 Fr 01:30 PM – 04:30 PM Patrice, Gabrielle 18 & up $155.00 What brings you happiness and joy? Do you have a favorite memory that you hold close in your heart and mind? In this class, we will start with sketching and painting the elements that bring this memory to life and then transform it onto the loom through use of color, composition, and objects. Memories are our means of personal storytelling either for ourselves or for sharing with others. Through the practice of weaving, we bring our stories to life and create a visual token through which to remember this golden moment, honoring our past and inspiring our present moment. Students are encouraged to bring materials that can be used in their weaving, such as yarn, special fabrics, beads, shells, or anything that can be added, sewn, or woven on the loom!
