Well......... we built a beautiful new dental clinic at Nkozi Hospital last year. But now the government agencies in Uganda are requiring many expensive changes in order to get a license for taking x-rays. (as a dentist, I can assure you that these are entirely unnecessary by modern standards). In the meantime they have locked up our x-ray machine and are holding it hostage. We've already paid $1400 for the site visit and "assessment". Now we need another $3400 for changes and purchases. All of this expense takes away funds that could be used for patient care. Our friend, Teacher Kyewe, visited our four sponsored students on Sunday. Joan, Alex, Patrick and Emmanuel are doing well. But we noticed that Alex and Emmanuel needed new shoes!
