PCWS, located in Alexandria, Virginia, is devoted to educating the whole child: head, heart, & hands Educating the whole child in a nurturing, creative community.Potomac Crescent Waldorf School (PCWS) strives to bring Waldorf Education to families in Northern Virginia. PCWS educates children based upon the educational philosophy of Rudolf Steiner, a developmental approach which emphasizes goodness, beauty, and truth from Early Childhood through Fifth Grade. We endeavor to build a diverse community that supports each other and works together to create a healthy social life. Our Faculty brings the Waldorf curriculum to students in ways that cultivate in each child a sense of meaning and purpose in life, kindness, respect, academic excellence, confidence, creativity, and a love of learning.Our vision is to develop thoughtful, fulfilled citizens who have the capacity to think imaginatively, communicate effectively, and relate compassionately.
