Breaking News: Georgia Governor Brian Kemp Signs Monsanto Protection Act Into Law. Gov Kemp has thrown Georgia residents under the bus by signing SB144, a bill shielding Bayer-Monsanto and all pesticide corporations from legal accountability when their products cause cancer, Parkinson’s disease and other health harms. Like politicians always do when they're passing tremendously unpopular laws, Kemp signed the bill on Friday right before the busy Mother's Day weekend... when no one is paying attention. Georgia becomes the second state to pass a Monsanto Protection Act after North Dakota's Governor Kelly Armstrong signed the same bill for his state at the end of April. This also comes on the heels of a $2.1 billion Georgia jury verdict against Bayer in a Roundup weedkiller/cancer trial that ended in April.
