Truman Heartland Community Foundation

Creating a Legacy

Since our start in 1982, Truman Heartland Community Foundation has made it our mission to improve the lives of the people within Eastern Jackson County and surrounding communities. We do this by promoting and serving private giving for the public good. We are committed to improving area communities by promoting and serving private giving for the public good. We help charitably minded donors pool their funds to receive exceptional tax benefits, while maximizing their impact on their local community. We work with fundholders to provide Donor Services , while operating Grant and Scholarship Programming for the community. We also use our operating funds to support strategic initiatives that help to address identified needs throughout the community. Our oldest initiative is the Youth Advisory Council, operating since 1982, in addition to our recent initiative on Affordable Housing.
