Boots2Roots is the only organization in Maine preparing active duty military members and their families to live and work in Maine. In fact, Boots2Roots starts working with transitioning military members up to a year before they transition which we believe is crucial in attracting them to Maine. Boots2Roots is generating significantly better results than the national averages. We have a consistent employment rate of 85 percent within 8 weeks of arriving in Maine, 100 percent within 20 weeks, and a 90% first year retention rate. The average duration of all unemployment in the U.S. is 22.1 weeks, and 56% retention rate for first post military job.
