DEL REY MINISTRIES IS A CHRISTIAN MINISTRY BASED IN THE UNITED STATES, BUT OPERATING EXCLUSIVELY IN THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, WITH A PRIMARY GOAL TO IDENTIFY AND TRAIN LOCAL MEN TO BECOME CHRISTIAN LEADERS. ONCE THESE POTENTIAL LEADERS ARE IDENTIFIED, TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED AT LEAST QUARTERLY. MANY OF THESE INDIVIDUALS CANNOT BECOME PASTORS OR MISSIONARIES WITHOUT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. FOR THOSE INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE CALLED TO LEAVE THEIR VILLAGES OR OCCUPATIONS, WE CAN PROVIDE SOME MONTHLY SUPPORT TO HELP MEET THEIR BASIC NEEDS SUCH AS FOOD AND CLOTHING. HUMANITARIAN AID, SUCH AS PROVIDING FOOD, FUNDS FOR MEDICAL NEEDS WILL BE PROVIDED TO INDIVIDUALS. THESE INDIVIDUALS WILL BE IDENTIFIED BY THE LOCAL PASTORS AND MISSIONARIES. THE EMPHASIS WILL BE TO HELP THE POOR, WIDOWS, AND ORPHANS AS WELL AS MEN WHO ARE UNEMPLOYED. IN ADDITION TO HELPING LOCAL LEADERS, DEL REY MINISTRIES WILL ASSIST AMERICANS WHO HAVE GONE ON SHORT-TERM MISSION TRIPS TO MAKE THOSE TRIPS HAVE A GREATER IMPACT.
