To establish academic collaboration between researchers, trainers and different organizations to promote the use of technologies and to facilitate learning in disenfranchised communities. These activities include the communication between public and private institutions, social groups, communities and individual legal entities. To achieve this mission, the organization offers a project driven methodology that combines education, practice, and mentoring for persons with limited experience in computer soft skills and is looking for employment as well as entrepreneurs who need technical assistance to manage, market, and develop their businesses. The goal is to assist anyone to thrive in the age of the internet by offering tools and resources that will help them gain marketable 21st-century job skills and transform them into contributing participants of the economic development of their community. Learning for Peace is the brainchild of the founding President Dr. Javier Garcia, is an expert in bilingual (Spanish/English) online education and development of training programs for individuals in diverse educational levels. His vast experience in the field has allowed him to contribute to professional development projects around Latin America and Europe for more than thirty years as a Lead Project Manager and/or Program Director. One of the most recent projects involves the creation of a collaborative training community between Humboldt International University in Miami-Dade and 14 other universities in Latin America.
