He passed away in 2002 at the age of 87, after which his children established the Laszlo N. Tauber Family Foundation to carry forward his philanthropic work.

The foundation is led by Ingrid D. Tauber, PhD, who serves as President, and Alfred I. Tauber, MD, who serves as Secretary-Treasurer. Both leaders are committed to advancing their father's legacy through strategic philanthropy.
