The Guernsey County CDC, shall sponsor projects that develop, support and promote: economic development related to green space and riparian corridor retention, the conservation of land areas for public outdoor recreation, education, scenic enjoyment, the preservation of historically important land areas or structures, the protection of natural environmental systems and entrepreneurial activities that work for the economic health of Guernsey County, its townships and communities. Further, is created and maintained as a community-based organization, and has among its purposes the provision of meeting the needs of a geographically defined low-and-moderate-income neighborhood, community or target area, including but not limited to low-income housing & economic development.
