RUMC is licensed to operate about 448 beds that include Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics and Neo-Natal C The mission of the Foundation is to develop strategies to obtain funds and manage charitable contributions for the benefit of Richmond University Medical Center. The funds will be donated to the Medical Center to enable it to provide additional services or establish special projects in furtherance of its mission of providing premier healthcare to the Staten Island community and its neighbors.Fund-raising activities include special events, grant applications, capital campaigns, direct mail appeals, and solicitation of planned giving, major gifts and estate bequests.The Foundation’s Board of Directors will seek to develop and strengthen community relationships and opportunities for collaboration with civic organizations, corporations and other foundations to support the mission of the Medical Center.
