The Penfield Foundation was founded for the primary purpose of holding property known as the Troop 19 Cabin for use by the scouts of Troop 19 Mt. Baker Council Boy Scouts of America. The Penfield Foundation was established in 2001 to acquire and preserve the ownership of six lots of property on Fremont Street in Geneva WA just outside the City of Bellingham WA.
