Official page for the University of Sussex. We're a research-intensive university based in Brighton, on the south coast of the UK. For over 60 years, the aim of our courses, research, culture and campus has been to stimulate, excite and challenge.💡 The Friends of the University of Sussex (‘Friends of Sussex’) is a 501 (c) 3 registered charity (recognized by the US Internal Revenue Service), which supports grants that benefit Sussex. For US taxpayers, gifts to the Friends of Sussex therefore qualify for an income tax deduction to the limits allowed by law. The Friends of Sussex is governed by a Board of Directors who are elected volunteers. In compliance with IRS regulations, the Board of Directors of the Friends of Sussex maintains complete discretion over the allocation of gifts. Gifts are reviewed and approved by our Board of Directors and funds can be granted to support educational institutions and programs, with particular interest in the University of Sussex (in the UK).
