Sycamore Reservation Sycamore Reservation Founded in 1955 by Dr. Emmette Izard Sycamore Reservations purpose is to encourage outdoor education. The Sycamore Reservation consists of over 400 scenic acres in the Zoar Valley area of Western New Yorks Southern Tier. Located on Connoisarauley creek a tributary to the Cattaraugus in valleys that were created by the glaciers it has fossils that abound on the shores of the creek along with all other types of rocks igneous sedimentary and metamorphic.
