“There’s always a price for our freedom, and I want to recognize those who paid the ultimate price on this Memorial Day.” - Jessica, MSW, LSW A special message from Skills of Central PA Clinical Supervisor of Behavior Supports, Jessica. Jessica enlisted in the US Navy in 2009, becoming a Gunnersmate. She maintained missile launching systems on destroyers for 4 years. After earning her degree at Penn State University, Jessica got her officer commission. Primarily stationed in San Diego, she served three deployments; two to the Middle East and one on the South China Sea. As a Surface Warfare Officer, Jessica explained, “The US Navy is always deployed. Even in peace time the Navy warships and submarines are continuously deployed to maintain freedom of the seas.” Jessica served our nation until 2019, and all of us at Skills echo her thoughts about our fallen heroes on this day, and we thank her and all United States veterans for their service to our great country.
