Now, we are rotating an equally exciting piece into the display - this recently donated walrus hide bag from the same period. Highly regarded for their durability, these caught the attention of professionals like doctors to carry more items (instruments) than just garments. Many bags marketed as walrus leather were actually made from sealskin leather embossed to mimic the walrus skin grain. (fb)
