Connect with our waterways and celebrate Lancaster Water Week with a family friendly community event, such as... 💧 Lunch & Learn at Rife Run on Saturday, June 7 - The New Chiques Creek Watershed Alliance invites families and kids of all ages to Mummau Park for free hands-on activities and demonstrations about watersheds and healthy streams. 💧 Public Water Independence Day on Saturday, June 7 - Join 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 for this event, which will feature free kayak lessons, pontoon boat tours, food, and ice cream! Get a tour of the public water treatment plant, and visit the tents of local environmental groups to learn more about our watershed. 💧 River Connections Community Picnic on Sunday, June 8 - Come, gather at the river! Share songs, poems and stories. Learn to skip a rock. Meditate to the sound of flowing water.
