Women of the World (WoW) invites everyone to join in the celebration of Mother's Day at our community potluck event on Saturday, May 10th at 12:30 PM. The event will take place at 2531 S 500 E, South Salt Lake. This inclusive event is open to the public, welcoming individuals and families from all walks of life to come together and honor mothers from around the world. Guests are encouraged to bring their favorite dishes to share and enjoy a diverse array of delicious foods representing various cultures and traditions. Attendees can look forward to an afternoon filled with camaraderie, cultural exchange, and the joy of coming together as a community to celebrate the universal bond of motherhood with forcibly displaced women served by the organization. The program features guest speaker, Representative Hoang Nguyen and dance performances from Carnaval de Barranquilla. This year, WoW: Helped hundreds of women secure sustainable jobs,breaking cycles of poverty and dependence. Provided life-changing education and skills training, equipping women to navigate a new world with confidence. Expanded mental health and wellness programs, ensuring that healing is part of every woman’s journey. Advocated for fair policies, ensuring refugee and immigrant women have a voice in shaping their future. Yet, despite our success, our fight is far from over.
