Ho`omoana was established to create leadership for private charities to demonstrate community leadership to assist individuals on Maui who have become homeless. Resources and services specifically addressing root causes such as mental illness and substance abuse are integrated into the goal of enabling applicants into a condition of self-sufficiency through 1:1 assistance and coordination with community agencies.
