Our American Friends raise awareness and funding to support brain research, geriatrics, children's resp, and trauma departments. 212-683-3702. Herzog Hospital is Israel’s foremost center for geriatric, respiratory, mental health and psychotrauma care, treatment and research. With 330 beds, it is the third largest hospital in Jerusalem. A new Children’s Chronic Respiratory Care Department treats children ranging in age from 4 months to 18 years. Herzog’s Israel Center for the Treatment of Psychotrauma treats children and adult victims of terror attacks, war and domestic violence, and provides training in Israel and internationally. The Hospital’s Department of Research is internationally recognized for its work in Alzehimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases, schizophrenia and other brain disorders and diseases. Due to the dramatic growth of Herzog Hospital, a new wing has been constructed adding 270 much needed beds.
