NALSC The National Association of Legal Search Consultants is the national professional organization for the legal search profession and is committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in the field. The field of legal search consulting evolved in the late 1960s as a response to developing demands for specialized consulting services in the hiring of attorneys. Since then the industry has grown dramatically and continues to do so. However in the early days of the profession dialogue among legal search practitioners was virtually nonexistent and lack of consistent standards of practice marred the credibility of the legal search profession.
