Independence Square Foundation About the Independence Square Foundation Founded in 1983 the Foundations mission is to provide nonprofit caregiver organizations with the kind of first class work environments and facilities they deserve but may not be able to afford on their own. At present there are 23 notforprofit agencies at The Independence Square Foundations two locations in Rhode Island. One is at the Independence Square facility in Kingston and another in Pawtucket. The Foundation has helped various nonprofit organizations maximize their funds by sharing space overhead and expertise and by creating synergies among themselves.
