CityLax is a non-profit organization that is committed to creating opportunities for underserved youth in New York City by growing the game of lacrosse in a region that historically has had little or no access to the sport. CityLax works to achieve its mission through partnerships with the public school system and community-based organizations, predominantly in areas that are comprised of lower-income families. CityLax uses lacrosse as a youth-development tool to help student-athletes see the value of taking charge of their education, living a healthier lifestyle, and developing life skills for successful college and career advancement after graduating high school on time.
