CWJC & CMJC Christian Job Corps Personal and Professional Development History and Mission CWJC of Abilene began as part of the broader Christian Womens Job Corps movement a ministry of WMU Womans Missionary Union that started in 1997 to address the need for job skills training among women in underserved communities. The Abilene branch was established with the vision of offering hope education and spiritual guidance to women in the area especially those facing difficult life situations including unemployment poverty or lack of formal education. The mission of CWJC of Abilene is to equip women with life skills job training and spiritual mentoring empowering them to achieve selfsufficiency and personal growth. Through a supportive Christcentered environment women are able to overcome obstacles regain confidence and discover their Godgiven potential.
