Throughout our 145-year history, our organization has demonstrated our ability to adapt to social and economic changes. Beginning as a modest orphanage in 1878, MHY has responded to community need, evolving to become a leader in trauma-informed mental and behavioral health care and educating at-risk children. MHY serves the Western Pennsylvania region, providing community-based in-home services in 9 counties and quality education through its school, Longmore Academy, for youth who have struggled to succeed in public school.
