Yesterday marked the final day of CBC's mission trip to the St. Francis Inn in Philadelphia. The day was centered around reflection, as missionaries took time to consider the impact spending a week serving those experiencing homelessness had made in their lives. During the morning Mass, first-time missionaries to St. Francis Inn were each presented with a Franciscan Tau Cross in recognition of their service. Fr. Michael’s homily beautifully emphasized the blessings received by those who give of themselves to help others. Later in the day, our group helped prepare the noon meal, with the welcome support of students from Bishop Ireton. We are especially thankful for the warm hospitality, generosity, and guidance extended to us by the staff and volunteers at St. Francis Inn throughout our stay.
