Kansas Insurance Guaranty Association Kansas Insurance Guaranty Association About Us The Kansas Insurance Guaranty Association KIGA is an entity created by Kansas statute to protect the public in the event of a failure of a property andor casualty insurance company. In the event an insurance company becomes insolvent Kansas Insurance Guaranty Association will assume the processing of all covered claims in accordance with the applicable insurance policies and the applicable Kansas statutes. KIGA is part of a nonprofit statebased statutorilycreated system that pays certain covered claims of insolvent property and casualty insurance companies. By paying these claims Kansas Insurance Guaranty Association protects policy holders and claimants.
