Volunteers needed! If you’ve ever been curious about the fascinating ecosystems of vernal pools, now’s your chance to get involved! The Benzie Conservation District, in partnership with the Michigan Vernal Pools Partnership, is hosting a field training for volunteers interested in monitoring vernal pools. Vernal pools are lively habitats that host a variety of unique species, while also supporting our watersheds by filtering runoff and recharging groundwater, helping keep ecosystems vibrant and water clean!
