For the youngest school children in remote villages too far from schools in larger communities this type of rudimentary shelter is the only alternative. The most basic hygiene needs are often unmet. Inadequate sanitary facilities such as this dilapidated shed create significant health hazards. Friends of Honduras USA has begun installing efficient and costeffective water purification systems just one of our many projects planned for involving entire local communities.
