Friends support the growth of library service in Boise, and encourage the use of the library. THE MISSION OF FRIENDS OF THE BOISE PUBLIC LIBRARY IS TO SUPPORT AND ADVOCATE FOR THE BOISE PUBLIC LIBRARY AND TO PROMOTE READING AND LITERACY IN THE COMMUNITY

Friends of the Boise Public Library The Friends of the Boise Public Library is an allvolunteer 501c3 nonprofit organization that raises funds to benefit the library through book and media sales and memberships. Signature library programs that the Friends have sponsored include Summer Reading the Boise Comic Arts Festival Ultimate Book Nerd Kindergarten Readiness Idaho Family Reading Week and scholarships for library staff pursuing higher education. To raise funds we sell affordable donated books and media to members of the Boise community at Tree City Books our bookstore at the Main Library. community book sales and online.
