To organize and staff the annual Mount Pisgah Arboretum in Eugene, Oregon; to provide undergraduate and graduate scholarships to mycology students; to organize monthly mycology speaker series at the Amazon Community Center in Eugene, Oregon; to assist Lane Community College with mycology educational programs such as mushroom identification and microscopy classes, to organize regular mushrooms forays (field trip) in Oregon to promote mycology education and awareness; to support mycology-related educational programming at elementary and middle schools in Eugene, Oregon; to provide grants and scientific expertise to support local mycoremediation projects (environmental cleanup projects that use fungi to concentrate and remove pollutants from the environment).
